Go Read some Blogs

Different writers across the globe approach the blogging genre differently and their approaches play an important role in guiding the development of all that have the desire of exploring the genre of blogging. The common factors that are common among many bloggers that cover different issues are that bloggers put the reader first, bloggers organize their thoughts well, bloggers utilize short and concise paragraphs in writing, they utilize simple and clear words, and finally, they are conversational and specific in addressing their issues. These are the basic factors that new bloggers need to put in mind.

One of the best blogs that I have come across is called “The Thesis Whisperer” where the content of the website is written by Inger Mewburn that is a University of MelbourneAssociate Professor. The blog is accessible through https://thesiswhisperer.com/. The blog presents research-based information in the form of thoughtful blog posts that covers a wide range of academic topics among them being how students can write and present their work. The blog as well presents the review of different Ph.D. books. The main target audience of the blog is the students that need help with understanding how to write and present different types of tasks presented to them in different courses or that need boo reviews to help them understand different technical books.

The second specific blog that interests me is called “The Gradhacker.” The eblog is accessible through https://www.insidehighered.com/blogs/gradhacker. This blog has no specific writer but it is written by different community bloggers that have faced and understand issues that different graduates face. The blog mainly offers support information to graduates that are online looking for tips, challenges, and stories of other people that have faced similar or related things. The blog mainly offers tips and supports all with issues by sharing information of others that have faced similar or related experiences. Examples of topics that the blog covers are disabilities and how one can communicate their research to a general or specific audience.
